The OPair wheelchair bicycle

The Norwegian Government also finds that the wheelchair bicycle is not only suitable for adults but also for children because it can be individually adjusted front seat shell. This means that here the angle, depth and width of the seat can be adjusted. Besides this, the bicycle has other very good and individual adjustment possibilities for the individual user. So the length and angle of the footplates can also be adjusted individually.

Furthermore, the Tender Commission notes that the bicycle is the only one that has spoke protectors in addition to the tyre protectors. This ensures that the bicycle is safe to use and there is no risk of fingers getting between the wheel, and because of the suspension under the front seat, it offers users a very good cycling experience. Pedal support for wheelchair bikes test winner OPair

Wheelchair bicycle with the best pedal support

The product has an optional motor, which is the best of all tested competitors. The engine is equipped with the unique Silent System from Van Raam. It switches on quickly when pedalling, gives good pedalling support and has a starting aid and a freewheel, which makes it easier to start up on a slope, for example. Another very special feature is that the bike also has a reverse riding function, which makes it easier to ride backwards with the user on the bike. Pedal support

Unique and safe

The bicycle is the only one where the wheels rotate without the passenger following the direction of rotation, which helps to keep the user especially stable in curves. The bicycle has the most solid and stable use for the passenger. The steering of the bike makes manoeuvring and taking corners feel just like on a normal bike, and you can keep both hands firmly on the handlebars even in the biggest curves. The rider can easily change gears with the twist grip. This contributes to the easy handling of the bike. The rider has a good overview of the user while cycling.

"The bicycle has the most solid and stable use for the passenger."
