About Tomcat
Tomcat is a manufacturer of tricycles and assistive technology for children and adults. In 1997, the founder of Tomcat Bob Griffin, met his wife Anne and her son Thomas. Thomas had Angelmans Syndrome, a profound disability characterized by learning disabilities, sleep disturbance and poor coordination. Bob and Thomas became best friends and bob looked for ways for Thomas to increase his exercise so that he would sleep better. Bob developed a special trike, which he named Tomcat.
Tomcats products are entirely British made and along the way, the company have won many European technology grants and industry awards, including the prestigious Queens Award for Innovation.
Tomcat mainly sells trikes, but they also have custom chairs, a custom rollator and special shoes in assortment. The tricycles can be adapted to any handicap.
