The vanRaam VeloPlus wheelchair bike is designed around one simple principle: the passenger stays in their own wheelchair throughout. No transfer, no lifting, no fuss. A tilting ramp makes it easy to roll almost any manually operated wheelchair onto the platform, secure it, and set off. Together.
A wheelchair bike with no transfer required
What sets the VeloPlus wheelchair bicycle apart from most cycling solutions is that the passenger never has to leave their wheelchair. The tilting platform drops to ground level, the wheelchair rolls on, and a safety pin and fixing straps secure it in place. One person can do this without assistance and without heavy lifting.
The passenger faces forward with a clear view of the road ahead, and the rider has a full view of both the road and the passenger from behind. An optional electric winch system makes loading even easier, particularly useful if the wheelchair is heavier or the terrain is uneven.
Built to go the distance
The vanRaam VeloPlus is an electric wheelchair bike designed for everyday use. Standard 8 gears, hydraulic disc brakes, a parking brake, and integrated lighting all come as standard. A reinforced version of the platform is available for heavier wheelchair users up to 200kg.
The veloPlus wheelchair bike is also available as a split frame, making it easier to transport and store when not in use.
Intelligent assistance built in
The VeloPlus comes with vanRaam's Silent System electric pedal assist, making it a fully capable electric wheelchair bike. Near-silent, individually programmable, and with automatic lighting when the assist is activated. The reverse function makes parking and manoeuvring in tighter spaces considerably easier. Particularly useful when loading and unloading in confined areas.
Make it yours
