The vanRaam Chat rickshaw bike designed for cycling together with one or two people who can no longer ride independently. The passengers sit side by side in a purpose-designed cockpit at the front, with the rider positioned behind them for a clear view of both the road and the people they're cycling with. On the Chat rickshaw bike, the passengers face forward and sit alongside each other, which makes the ride a genuine shared experience. They can talk, take in the surroundings, and feel part of the journey from start to finish. The rider at the back maintains full control of steering and braking, with a clear sightline to the passengers throughout.
The cockpit of the Chat rickshaw bike is designed with both ergonomics and aesthetics in mind, giving this cycle rickshaw a distinctive, purposeful look that stands apart from a standard cargo bike. A hip belt comes as standard for passenger security.
An optional canopy protects passengers from sun and rain, making the Chat cycle rickshaw suitable for year-round use. Retractable footrests, a protection screen, and a stick holder are among the other options available to make every ride more comfortable and practical than many bicycle rickshaws for sale.
Unlike most bikes in the vanRaam range, the Chat rickshaw bike comes with electric pedal assist fitted as standard. The Silent System is near-silent, individually programmable, and includes a reverse function for easier manoeuvring in tight spaces. Because electric assist is standard, the Chat is delivered as a smart e-bike with access to the vanRaam app.

The Chat rickshaw bike can optionally be expanded with a canopy. The canopy is easily adjusted to two different heights using a locking pin.
For extra safety on the bike, a mirror can be placed on the handlebar. With a mirror, you can look behind you without turning your head or torso.
Do you use a walking stick or crutches? With the double stick holder for vanRaam's special needs bikes, you can easily take them with you during a bike ride.
With an extra battery pack Slim, you can cover more kilometres with your electric vanRaam bicycle. The extra battery Slim is mounted on the other side of the carrier.
