Due to growth in recent years, Van Raam has outgrown its current location at Aaltenseweg 56 in Varsseveld.
Van Raam produces uniquely special needs bicycles and specializes in tricycles, transport bikes, scooterbikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and low step trough bikes (also known as comfortbikes). Each model is also available as an electric bike (Pedelec).

An expert, independent commission in Norway has tested different types of special needs bicycles in connection with a multi-year public procurement. Several aspects were important for this tender. These were rated with a specific weighting coefficient. In the tandem category, Van Raam's bicycles were assessed as best in terms of overall quality. For both the three-wheel tandems where one rider sits behind the other as well as the side-by-side tandems, the quality of Van Raam tandems was far superior to other bikes in the test.

As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
We received a very nice photo and video of Mrs. Bockting on her Easy Go mobility scooter / scooter bike. She has ridden over 5000 kilometers on her tricycle!
