Van Raam produces uniquely special needs bicycles and specializes in tricycles, transport bikes, scooterbikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and low step trough bikes (also known as comfortbikes). Each model is also available as an electric bike (Pedelec).

Since April 2017, you can order the completely renewed Opair wheelchair bike from Van Raam at our dealers.
Together with end users, the latest technological advances, and the most modern materials, Van Raam has developed a completely new wheelchair bike: the OPair3. The new OPair wheelchair bikes are available for order at a Van Raam dealer starting April 3rd 2017.
More and more Van Raam bikes leave our factory with electrical assistance/ pedal support (e-bike). The electric pedal support increases the reach of the cyclist enormously. With wind or a hilly area the driver can easily cover large distances.
The walk support City is a walk bicycle for adults and is used as a tool for people who experience difficulty walking or standing for long periods of time. Unfortunately, Van Raam’s special walk bicycle is often seen as a leisure bike and not as a tool.
Good test result side by side tandem bike Fun2Go Maja and Ben from the Scouters test team tested our Fun2Go side by side bike. Scouters is an independent Dutch organization who provides information and advice about innovative tools for and by people who want to move better, their carers and professionals. In one of our previous articles we announced that Van Raam will move to a different location. Van Raam succeeded in finding a new location in Varsseveld. We have found a lot of over 2.5 hectares at the Hofskamp.
Het Nationaal Keurmerk Hulpmiddelen (NKH) (Dutch National Hallmark for assistive devices) ran a story contest between users of assistive devices in the fall of 2016. The objective was to have them share their stories with people who could possibly benefit from the use of such a tool or device.
In 2016, the first two containers with Van Raam bikes were delivered to our dealers in America. At this moment, the 3rd container loaded with Van Raam bikes is ready for transport to the United States of America.
