In the video below, we will show you how the Van Raam electric side by side tandem bike works. The Fun2Go 1 bicycle is a three-wheel tandem/double rider cycle with a driver and passenger sitting next to each other. This adaptive bike makes it possible to cycle for people with disabilities.
Maja and Ben from the Scouters test team tested our Fun2Go 1 side by side bike. Scouters is an independent Dutch organization who provides information and advice about innovative tools for and by people who want to move better, their carers and professionals. An expert, independent commission in Norway has tested different types of special needs bicycles in connection with a multi-year public procurement. Several aspects were important for this tender. These were rated with a specific weighting coefficient. In the tandem category, Van Raam's bicycles were assessed as best in terms of overall quality. For both the three-wheel tandems where one rider sits behind the other as well as the side-by-side tandems, the quality of Van Raam tandems was far superior to other bikes in the test.

The bicycle is a popular means of transport. Besides the normal two-wheel bike, you see more and more special or adapted bikes in the streets. For example, more and more use is being made of a two person bike, such as the Fun2Go duo bike, also called the side-by-side tandem, and the wheelchair transport bike VeloPlus. A duo bike (two person bicycle) is the ideal bike for elderly people who can no longer cycle independently, blind people, people with balance problems, people with disabilities and people who are wheelchair dependent.
