You can use this unique bike also as a wheelchair
A bike that you can also use as a wheelchair? This is possible with the Van Raam OPair wheelchair bike. With this bike it is possible to choose for a divisible frame, so you can turn the bike into a wheelchair. Read more about this special bike here.
Wheelchair bike, combination of a bike and a wheelchair
With the Van Raam OPair wheelchair bike, an companion can go cycling together with a passenger who uses a wheelchair. The passenger sits in front of the bike on an adjustable seat, the companion steers the bike and has a good overview of the passenger and the road.
On location, the OPair can easily be 'divided' with the 'divisible frame' option: the seat area with the passenger is detached from the bicycle section at the back. The bike part can be locked and the front of the bike serves as a wheelchair. The passenger can then be transported further with the wheelchair. When cycling again, you simply reattach the wheelchair to the bicycle part.

Cycling with pedal support?
The passenger cannot pedal while cycling with the OPair, so it can be a relief for the companion to cycle with pedal support. The OPair wheelchair bike can be expanded with a pedal support system, invented and developed by Van Raam.
