    Van Raam winner Guus Hiddink Business Award

    Van Raam is the winner of the Guus Hiddink Business Award! On the evening of Thursday 17 October, the festive award ceremony took place in the Amphion theatre in Doetinchem. Marjolein Boezel, Financial/HRM Director at Van Raam, has received the award. The winner of the Guus Hiddink Business Award is an example for other companies in the Achterhoek. This award is part of the Ondernemersprijzen Achterhoek (Achterhoek Entrepreneurial Award). Besides Van Raam, CAD2M B.V. and Bronckhorst High-Tech B.V. were also nominated for this prize.

    For our photo shoot with the newest bike of the Van Raam family, the Rickshaw Bike Chat, we asked the nursing home Azora Debbeshoek in Ulft if they are interested in being models on the photos. Soon there were two friends who enjoyed spending a day with us and a professional photographer. During the photo shoot many curious residents came out to admire the chat. To thank Azora and her residents for the cooperation, the home care center was allowed to use the bike for one week, so that all interested elderly people could cycle together on the cargo bike chat.

    Ruud Jansen, from Nijmegen climbed the Mont Ventoux on his Van Raam Easy Rider Small tricycle on September 7, 2018. Ruud has two muscle diseases which cause his muscles to slowly deteriorate and he can no longer cycle on a two-wheel bike. He participated in Ventoux3, an event that collects money for research into brain tumors.

We recently came across an article from the Hoogeveensche Courant (Dutch newspaper) that we definitely want so share with our readers. The article we encountered was about Wolda Fidom from Hoogeveen. Wolda wants to climb Mont Ventoux with her Easy Rider tricycle on 6 September 2019 and thereby raise money for KWF (Dutch Cancer Society) and the Hersenstichting (Dutch foundation dedicated to combat brain disorders).
