4 reasons to choose an adult trike
There are many different reasons to opt for a tricycle if cycling on a two-wheeler is not (anymore) possible. Below are 4 common reasons to choose an adult trike.
1. You're looking for extra stability
If you struggle to find balance or stability on a regular two-wheeled bike, a trike is a suitable alternative. This bike has three wheels instead of two. At the back, there are two wheels instead of one, providing more stability. Hence, the bike cannot simply fall over. This allows you to easily mount the bike, but also to stand still without having to dismount.
2. You’re looking for extra safety
In addition to the third wheel providing extra stability, it also offers additional safety. The risk of falling with the bike is significantly reduced, which for many is an important reason to opt for an adult trike.
3. You want to be independent
If it is not possible to cycle on a two-wheeler due to a disability, many choose a trike. In many cases, this offers the opportunity to still be independent and self-reliant.
