Cycling with COPD lung condition
More than 251 million people worldwide suffer from COPD. COPD is a general term for lung diseases characterized by narrowing of the airways. This leads to symptoms such as shortness of breath, coughing and/or mucus dissolution. Breathing is not a matter of course for this group of people. Enough exercise, such as cycling, is good for everyone, but essential for people with COPD.
Test tricycle by experienced tricycle user
Despite her irreparable hip problems, Gunda Grauss of 72 tested the electric tricycle for adults, the Easy Rider of Van Raam. In the summer of 2009 Mrs. Krauss cycles form Munich to Rügen. In less then 50 days she traveled 1262 kilometers away on this special tricycle from Van Raam. The unique design of this special needs bike made this trip very pleasant.

Easy Go scooter bike TÜV approved
The Easy Go scooter bike from Van Raam is now officially approved by the German TÜV for admission on German roads and pavement. (pavement in position 1 not faster than 6 km/h)
Expansion of Van Raam special needs bikes
Van Raam special needs bikes builds an extension to the production space. There will be an extra area of 1800M2 end of this year.
Funtrain: bike train for safe cycling with 4 people
Now available at Van Raam: the Funtrain. This Funtrain trailer for the Fun2Go double rider tandem creates a bike train for 4 people. The Funtrain is an automatic, hydraulically braked bike trailer that can be connected behind an existing or new Fun2Go tandem bike. In this way an attendant can cycle safely with three co-drivers/passengers or with only one co-driver/passenger on the Fun2Go itself.

Last years, several 'super users' of the Easy Rider, one of Van Raam's adult tricycles, have made long bike rides.
Tavara Balance, safe and comfortable low entry bike
The history of the low entry bike Tavara by Piet Tauber and Van Raam, goes back to 1985. At the bicycle RAI in 1985, architect Piet Tauber was presented with a prize by Mrs. Kroes as the winner of the Bicycle Safe competition presented by the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works.
