Tip from bike manufacturer Van Raam about the new normal

The corona crisis is slowly causing everyone to get used to a different way of working. For example, companies need to look at how they can apply the 'new normal' in their company. The aim of the 'Groen is Gaon' (Green is Go)  initiative is to use pictograms and posters to give everyone in the Achterhoek region (a region in the Netherlands, where Van Raam is located) something to hold on to, making it easier to get used to the new normal and have trust again. The initiative also helps to show visitors how to safely interact with each other. For example, Van Raam gives a tip about the use of your own laptops and Microsoft Teams during meetings, so that you no longer have to look at one screen with multiple people. Initiative ‘Groen is Gaon’

The 'Groen is Gaon' initiative was created during a meeting at Achterhoekverbindt.nl, an initiative of regional companies. It is part of ten action points to get back on track with each other during the corona crisis. This initiative was created to establish safety and trust in interaction with each other. With recognizable pictograms and posters they carefully put the red traffic light back on green, within the framework of the RIVM (Dutch State Institute for Public Health). They want to give everyone something to hold on to, making it easier to get used to the new normal and to rebuild that trust. Jan Kaak of 8RHK Ambassadeurs says: "We literally and figuratively have to cross a threshold to find each other again. So it is important that we start up one by one in the region and regain trust together. The initiative also makes it possible to show visitors in a single glance the rules of the game how to deal safely with each other in the company, institution or government building in question.

Measures at Van Raam related to the corona virus

The safety and health of Van Raam's employees and visitors is the highest priority. Van Raam follows the guidelines of the RIVM (Dutch State Institute for Public Health). Van Raam still produces bicycles and repairs. In this time we are lucky to make a lot in-house. Deliveries, orders and repairs continue for the time being.

At Van Raam it is possible to make an appointment for a private consultation. A private consultation at Van Raam means that four test rides or fittings with a technical advisor take place in our showroom. During this test ride, the four appointments take place in another part of the showroom, so that sufficient distance can be kept. Hygiene measures are also followed and the used bicycles and tables are cleaned after each appointment.

Do you have (mild) symptoms of a cold (sneezing, sore throat, runny nose, light coughing or a raised temperature)? Then there is Van Raam's request to stay at home and avoid (social) contacts.
