Stable from the moment you stop
The key difference between theKivo and the Kivo Plus is the third wheel. Two rear wheels instead of one mean the tandem trike stays upright on its own when stationary, no balancing, no holding the bike, just get on and go. For children who find balance challenging, the kids' tandem bikeremoves a significant source of anxiety and makes the whole experience more relaxed from the start.
A low step-through on both positions makes getting on and off easy for parent and child alike, and the parking brake keeps the bike steady while they do.

On this parent child tandem bike, the adult at the rear has full control of steering and braking, with a clear view of the child at all times. The child at the front can see everything going on around them, making every ride engaging and exciting.
The Kivo Plus comes with a standard switchable freewheel hub with 8 gears, giving you control over how the child pedals. Three settings are available:
Pedals linked so both rider and child pedal in sync
Pedals running freely so the child can rest, or with rear steering
A third mode where the child can pedal independently at their own pace.
It's a flexible parent child tandem bike that adapts as the child grows in confidence.
Intelligent assistance built in
The vanRaam Kivo Plus is available with vanRaam's Silent System electric pedal assist, making it a smart e-bike. Near-silent, individually programmable, and with start assist for smooth pull-aways. Particularly useful for longer rides or hillier routes where the extra support makes a real difference for the adult rider.
