Description Kivo Plus tandem
The Kivo Plus is a child-parent tricycle tandem with a grown-up sitting behind and a child sitting in front. The child can get a good view of the environment. The rider sitting behind can always keep a good watch on the child. The Kivo Plus has a low step through and therefore, is easier to use. Equipped with two rear wheels instead of one, the Kivo Plus trike provides more stability. Because of these two wheels it becomes more easy to get on and off of the bike when its standing still.
The Kivo Plus has standard 8 gears and a freewheel switch. You can use the switchable freewheel to determine whether and how the passenger pedals.
With the rear steering, the freewheel hub has three positions:
This is a function with a continuous movement of the pedal and the co-driver must pedal along.
The pedals of the co-driver move independently of the pedals of the main driver. The pedals run freely and the co-driver cannot cycle.

Smart e-bike
The Kivo Plus also has a variant with on wheel in the rear. An optional electric engine is possible to install on all the variants, which gives a comfortable pedal support, this makes cycling on this tandem even easier. Read everything about electric pedal support (Pedelec) for this bike.

Looking for a child parent tandem with two wheels? Then the Kivo is for you. vanRaam also has tandems in the range for two adults. The two wheel tandem Twinny and three wheel tandem Twinny Plus. The Fun2Go side-by-side tandem is a three-wheel tandem on which the persons sit next to each other.

Pedal assist
vanRaam has its own electric pedal assist system, known as the Silent System. This system has been fully developed by vanRaam, specifically for the special needs bikes.
Backrest support
The backrest provides extra support when sitting on a vanRaam bicycle. The backrest support does not come with a belt, this can be ordered separately.
Foot fixation
With many vanRaam bicycles it is possible to mount foot fixation on one or more pedals. This gives you more stability and security while cycling.
SmartGuard Tyre
With a SmartGuard tyre it is almost impossible to get a flat tyre (when used correctly), thanks to the thicker tread of the tyre.
