Customer experience FunTrain duo bike trailer - Thomas House

A Thomas House is a small-scale residential facility for people with a mental disability. The goal is to live together as normally as possible. Relaxing, having a chat or riding the duo bike together. In 2018, the Thomas House in Sint Nicolaasga (the Netherlands) received a Van Raam FunTrain duo bike trailer for their Fun2Go duo bike. After duo bike now also a duo bike trailer

The Thomas House in Sint Nicolaasga offers a loving home to a small group of people with a mental disability. They live here with care providers Henk and Carin, in a beautiful farmhouse with a beautiful garden and an animal pasture.

At the Thomas House, personal attention and exercise are important. The housealready has a Fun2Go duo bike for a long time, where two people can cycle side by side. The supervisor steers and the passenger can pedal along. Now they can also add the FunTrain duo bike trailer. With the trailer, which you couple behind the duo bike, an attendant/caregiver can safely cycle with three companions for a bike ride in the open air.

From donation to purchase

Thomas House received the FunTrain duo bike trailer as a donation. Employees of Rabobank Sneek south-west Friesland received an annual amount which they could donate to a social initiative. An employee of the Rabobank who also worked at the Thomas House, donated together with 33 other employees their amount to the Thomas House in Sint Nicolaasga with which the FunTrain could be purchased. In the pictures you can see the unveiling of the duo bike trailer and the first round was officially made.
