Van Raam is manufacturer of special needs bicycles. But what does Van Raam actually look like and how are the special needs bicycles being made? Take a look inside Van Raam with the sneak preview!

Van Raam donated a cheque to the Kanjers voor Kanjers Foundation. The record amount of money consisted of gifts that during the opening of the new Van Raam bicycle factory have been donated to the Foundation Kanjers voor Kanjers.

A Van Raam special needs bike usually only comes into the picture when cycling on a conventional two-wheel bike is no longer possible. But what if you are (or someone else is) in a wheelchair and still want to feel the wind in your hair? Then the Van Raam VeloPlus wheelchair bike is the solution! Wheelchair bikes were taken into use at three care institutions in both the Netherlands and Belgium in the autumn of 2019. Read more about this in the article.

Since Van Raam's relocation in January 2019, there has been a lot of media attention for the manufacturer of special needs bicycles. In November 2019, De Gelderlander (a Dutch newspaper) published a large article about Van Raam. In this article the Gelderlander talks about the sustainable building and bicycle test track, the history, Van Raam as world market leader and the prizes it has won. There is a shortage of bicycle mechanics in the Netherlands. In order to increase the number of bicycle mechanics in the Achterhoek region, the Tweewieler Academy, the Graafschap College and the WerkRaat learning and work centre in Doetinchem have entered into a collaboration by setting up a new training course. Bicycle mechanics at Van Raam, Fukadu Tesfai Lujam and Kbrom Tukue Future, participate in this course.

On May 19 to 21, 2022, Van Raam will be on this information fair in Ghent (Belgium) with special needs bicycles. This fair is the ideal meeting place for manufacturers and suppliers of products, organisations offering services, associations of people with a disability and visitors.
