'It is one of the largest tricycles in the world ever printed,' says a proud Jan-Willem Boezel, technical director of Van Raam. The 3d printing of the Husky children's tricycle was the graduation assignment of Industrial Product Design student Sander Feuler. 'I think we're going to be 3d printing more and more in the future,' says Boezel.

Sustainable entrepreneurship and saving energy. These are the main goals of the initiative 'Achterhoek Onderneemt Duurzaam' (Achterhoek is a sustainable business). Van Raam has done an energy scan through this initiative to get an idea how much energy we can save and what sustainable measures we can take. In the beginning of 2019 Van Raam moved to a new bicycle factory. This new bicycle factory is a modern and sustainable building. In addition to triple glass, solar panels and a modern installation system, Van Raam recently also got a new air humidification system of B&B Humidification. Almost all adapted bicycles in the vanRaam range are available as e-bikes. This means that it is possible to cycle with pedal assistance. vanRaam gets a lot of questions as to why they use the motor they’re using at the moment. At the vanRaam bicycles, the motor of the pedal assistance is located in the front wheel, in the rear wheel, or on the rear axle between the wheels.
