Because Henk de Jonge (86) from Eindhoven can no longer cycle independently, he cycles together with a 'bike buddy' on a Van Raam Fun2Go side by side bike. Nursing home Careyn Maria-Oord in Vinkeveen (NL) has started a fundraising campaign for a second Fun2Go duo bicycle from Van Raam. In exchange for a donation, donors can make a bike ride on the current Fun2Go, but free gifts are also welcome.
In Vinkel (Noord-Brabant, a province in the Netherlands) it is possible to rent a duo trike free of charge. A while ago, some active people in Vinkel founded the working group Duofiets (duo bike). They have been able to purchase a duo trike and from 1 April 2021 it is possible to cycle together with a volunteer / cycling buddy.
