With Van Raam Easy Rider tricycles to the Invictus Games
After the round table conference in the Louwman Museum, several stakeholders and guests cycled with Van Raam Easy Rider tricycles to the Invictus Games. Welzorg has provided 40 Easy Rider tricycles. Read more about the round table conference later in this article.
The Van Raam Easy Rider tricycle is a adult tricycle with seat. Because of the unique frame there is a low entry and the centre of gravity is lower.
Round table conference ‘Mission 2030’
To make sports possible for everyone before the year 2030, Welzorg and Fonds Gehandicaptensport (translation: fund disability sports) have joined forces to tackle mobility poverty for athletes with disabilities.
During the Invictus Games 2022 (international sports event for physically and/or mentally wounded soldiers), Louwman Group, Welzorg and Fonds Gehandicaptensport organised a round table conference in the Louwman Museum, bringing together various stakeholders to discuss the themes of transport, sports equipment and mobility. They are now joining forces to improve mobility (such as mobility aids and transport) for athletes with a disability. The ambition is to have realised this by 2030.
Welzorg is part of the Louwman Group and is committed to mobility for seniors and people with a physical disability. Welzorg is a Van Raam Premium Dealer and offers an extensive range of Van Raam special needs bikes.
Van Raam also commits to realize the mission
On behalf of Van Raam Ronald Ruesink (commercial director) and Marnix Kwant (sales & marketing manager) attended the round table conference. Van Raam, together with other parties, has symbolically taken up the gauntlet and will help to realize the Mission of Fonds Gehandicaptensport.
For example, Van Raam offers the Easy Go mobility scooter: an (e-)bike and mobility scooter in one. We regularly hear that people with disabilities go to physiotherapy or to the gym by taxi or mobility scooter and then cycle on an exercise bike. Where users of a mobility scooter sit still and do not move, users of the Easy Go can decide for themselves whether they want to cycle (with or without electrical pedal assist) or ride in the mobility scooter mode (fully electric). With this, they have daily exercise instead of only going to the physiotherapist or fitness. Read more in the article 'Easy Go scooter bike alternative for mobility scooter'.
