Low entry bicycles for older women
A bicycle for older women with a low entry is an adapted bicycle for women who have difficulty getting on and off the bike. Thanks to the special frame of Van Raams bicycles, you don't have to lift your leg so high to get on and off and you always get both feet on the ground. Furthermore, for even more stability even while cycling there is the special low entry bike not only with two wheels but also with 3 wheels. Learn much more in our article 'Womens low step bike by Van Raam'.
For women who can't or don't want to ride a traditional two-wheeler (anymore) Van Raam offers a range of safe alternatives. With the Van Raam tricycles you get more safety and stability while cycling:
Traditional tricycles: with two wheels in the back, one wheel in the front and a high seating position, this type of tricycle is very maneuverable.
Comfortable tricycle: with a seat, low entry and lower seating position. This provides you with a stable and safe riding experience.
Tricycles with low entry: with both legs on the ground giving you a safe riding experience.
Tricycles with two front wheels and one rear wheel. This gives you a good idea of whether you can ride through or along somewhere at any time.
The Easy Go electric scooter bike for older ladies is a unique product, it is a bicycle, an e-bike, i.e. electric bike and a mobility scooter in one. During the ride, you can decide for yourself whether you want to cycle completely independently or pedal with the Van Raam pedal assistance. As a further and third option, you can also choose to cycle completely electrically on the bike.
A Van Raam e-bike for older ladies is equipped with the unique Van Raam pedal support. The powerful pedal assist has 3 assist positions that you can also change while cycling. Furthermore, the system has a starting aid, so you can easily get up to speed without needing much power. Unique to tricycles is that it is possible to ride backwards with the pedal assist.
In addition to the helpful pedal support, there are other accessories that can make cycling easier for you. Think here for example of one or two mirrors on your handlebars, a turning signal, a stick holder or even a rollator holder attachment. You can select these options and all other options that are available for your chosen bike simply in our online configurator and assemble. See these and other options for Van Raam bikes also in the overview on the options page.
What is the difference to a bike for younger people?
Structurally, there is no difference in the constructionbetween a bike for older women and a bike for younger women or men. The bikes for adults are adapted to the height of the rider and the desires and needs why an adapted bike becomes necessary.

The life of the German Gunda Krauss has changed completely thanks to the electric tricycle Easy Rider. After Gunda had a hip replacement, she could no longer cycle on a ‘regular’ bike with two wheels. Her world become smaller by the day and at one point she even lost her zest for life. This electric tricycle has changed the life of Gunda completely. Gunda had thought about giving up, but she is very happy that she kept going on. "Someone convinced me that you should not stop if you have a goal in mind. He was right, I know now, because there is always a way," says Gunda Krauss.
Customer experience scooter bike Easy Go - Ankie van den Bosch
When they discovered I have Multiple Sclerosis* in 2000, I already had an e-bike for several years. Because my strength and energy continued to decrease, cycling became unsafe and I became insecure. It became difficult to get out of the car, to get away at a traffic light or to brake. And all this began to demand a lot of effort in traffic. I got scared when the wind was very strong. I avoided bridges and dunes.
User experience tricycle Midi - Monique van Stuijvenberg
I have been the proud owner of a Midi tricycle from Van Raam for 1,5 years now. One can say that I am in love with this bicycle. This I often say to people when they ask for my bicycle. And no, I am not insane!
