Several healthcare institutions in the Netherlands and Belgium have a Fun2Go side-by-side tandem into use since March 2018. Thanks to local campaigns and sponsoring, the financing for these three-wheel tandems has been made possible. Every healthcare institution, including InteraktContour, an institution for people who experience problems because of a brain injury, has its own story. Looking for a special needs bicycle (blog post)

Lilians mother is becoming more and more limited in her freedom of movement, which is why she went of the look for a special needs bicycle. Our USA Van Raam dealer Lancaster Recumbent moved

The small family owned business Lancaster Recumbent opened their store in 2014. The store has over 75 different types of recumbent bikes, but they are also experienced and certified in other special needs bicycles. In March 2018 they moved to Marietta. They now have a larger shop, about 10 miles from the previous location.

New special needs bikes dealer in Scotland

Our bikes are sold through a dealer or local bicycle shop, you cannot buy a bicycle directly from Van Raam. The dealer orders the bike from us and also provides delivery, service and warranty. Van Raam bicycles are produced in the Netherlands, but the bikes are available in almost all of Europe. Recently we have a new dealer in Scotland, Wheels Cycling Center from Callander.

Construction Van Raam in Varsseveld

Because of Van Raam’s continuous growth of the past years, Van Raam had become too big for its premises at the Aaltenseweg 56 in Varsseveld. That's why we now have a new and modern premises with a modern factory, offices and showroom. In January 2019 we've moved and we can be found at the Guldenweg 23 in Varsseveld. Impression of the new Van Raam building

At the end of this year (2018) / start of next year (2019) we will move with the entire company to a different location in Varsseveld, the Netherlands. The new building of Van Raam, with a size of approximately 12,500 m2, is designed by ERS Architekten bna from Terborg (the Netherlands) and will be built on a plot of 25,000 m2.

Specially made Easy Rider Junior tricycle for Tim

As a producer of special needs bicycles, all Van Raam bicycles are produced in our own factory in Varsseveld. One of the advantages of this is that we can adjust the bike completely to the customer's wishes. Every Van Raam bicycle can be equipped with a lot of options to make the bike suitable. If this is not enough, frame adjustments are possible or we make larger adjustments and we tailor the bike completely. For example, we recently made a special Easy Rider Junior tricycle for Tim.

Book about a bike tour of 1200 kilometers on the Easy Rider tricycle

In 2009, the then 70-year-old Gunda Krauss from Germany cycled on her three-wheeled bicycle Easy Rider from Munich to Rügen. This trip was more than 1200 kilometers and together with her dog Sauser, this trip took 49 days. For several years, Gunda has been working to write a book about this adventurous journey. With the help of crowdfunding, Gunda hopes to raise money so that is possible to release her book in the summer of 2018.

Combination of 8-speed and disengagement hub Fun2Go

Our side-by-side tandem Fun2Go has several options for the driver and the co-driver concerning the driving mechanism, also known as the gears. The Fun2Go always has 8-speed on the driver's side, on the co-driver’s side there is the possibility of a freewheel hub an 8-speed hub or a disengagement hub. Now Van Raam has combined the two options, the 8-speed hub and the disengagement hub, into one complete and universal option.
