Slopes and obstacles
When cycling on slopes and over speed bumps and obstacles it is more important to stay calm than to go fast. Look well ahead. Reduce your speed and always take obstacles straight on.
Always take obstacles at low speed and ride straight towards them. Avoid obstacles higher than 5 cm.
Do not cycle on slopes steeper than 10%.
Ride slowly on slopes and brake in good time when riding downhill.
Are you stationary on a slope? Set off calmly and lean slightly forwards.
Is the bike rolling backwards on a slope? Brake gradually.
