In Mode Off, the freewheel hub, the rider and passenger cycle independently of each other, each at their own pace. The passenger does not have to pedal and does not contribute to the propulsion.
This is a good mode for passengers who want to cycle along at a relaxed pace or simply enjoy the ride. The rider maintains full control, while the passenger still experiences the feeling of cycling along.
Mode B: fixed-gear mode
In Mode B, the fixed-gear mode, the passenger must always pedal. The passenger’s pedals rotate as long as the bike is moving, even if the rider keeps their pedals still.
This mode is mainly suitable for rehabilitation or training, as the passenger remains constantly active and the muscles stay in motion. It can also contribute to improved fitness and a healthy cycling rhythm. Closely monitor the passenger in this mode, as the fixed-gear mode requires more effort and is not suitable for everyone.
Note: Do not cycle faster than 10 km/h in Mode B to prevent incidents.
