Customer experience Easy Rider tricycle - Peter Heijnen
Due to his muscle disease CIAP, Peter Heijnen is no longer able to play sports, go for walks, or cycle on a standard two-wheeler. Cycling with CIAP
“Let me introduce myself: my name is Peter and I am a 77-year-old retiree. I am married and live in Hellevoetsluis, the Netherlands. I really enjoy playing the guitar, reading, watching films and, of course, cycling! Because I have the muscle disease CIAP, I am no longer able to play sports, go for walks, or cycle on a standard two-wheeled bicycle. Before my muscle disease, I used to cycle quite regularly on a Giant sports bike.”
My second Easy Rider tricycle
“I have had my current Easy Rider tricycle since 2021; before that, from 2016 onwards, I had the older version of this model. I am extremely pleased with the bike! If the weather allows, I cycle almost every day, about 100 kilometres a week. In total, I have cycled around 8,000 kilometres on my Easy Rider. The bike is super comfortable and provides the right support when needed. In terms of options, I have balanced pedals, a stick holder, and a mirror on the left side. I also have electric pedal assist.”

Memorable cycling moments
“I’ve had several enjoyable experiences during my rides with the Easy Rider. From a little child walking past and shouting, ‘What a funny bike!’ to discovering Burgh Haamstede! By renting a test bike in Burgh Haamstede, we now often cycle there from Hellevoetsluis. We also set off on rides from Burgh Haamstede itself, including trips to Domburg.
