Customer experience side-by-side tandem Fun2Go - Wim Dieker
Ninety-year-old Wim Dieker can no longer ride a standard bicycle because he no longer has a hip. Through Stichting Kontaktraad Loil, a side-by-side tandem Fun2Go is available for the community. This way, Wim and his son Ap can make beautiful bike trips through the surroundings. Read their story here and watch the video.
90 years and still on the bike
Wim: "My name is Wim Dieker and I was born in Wehl, the Netherlands. Because I was born in the countryside, I always worked outside and did everything by bike. I can't ride a normal bike because I don't have a hip anymore.
On the side-by-side tandem Fun2Go, I can cycle with my family, or anyone else for that matter. That is a nice bonus. I think it's a very good outcome, the side-by-side tandem. That I can cycle together with someone. That's really nice, isn't it?"
Cycling together on the Fun2Go duo bike
Heidy: "I am Heidy Ebbing and I am a member of the 'Stichting Kontaktraad' in Loil, the Netherlands. We have purchased the side-by-side tandem Fun2Go for our community in 2019. To be able to just cycle around the village, so that everyone is also able to cycle again. Not only the people with disabilities but also other people who want to cycle along. Of course, we have pedal support and we have chosen the foot fixation.
Wim Dieker gratefully uses the bicycle with his children and grandchildren and enjoys it immensely."
Ap: "Together with my father, who is almost 90 years old, I made a beautiful trip on the side-by-side tandem through the area where he lives and has always worked. With a pleasant "coffee stop" at his sister's (see photo) whom he had not seen or spoken to for a long time because of corona.
The side-by-side tandem Fun2Go is a great bike on which we can be active together, but also chat about what we see. Thanks to Stichting Kontaktraad Loil who makes this bike available to the residents of Loil."
