Professional BMX-racer Jelle van Gorkom, who was severely injured during one of his practices in January 2018, is back on a bike. This bike is not his beloved BMX, but the Easy Sport, one of Van Raam’s tricycles.
As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
The sporty recumbent tricycle, Easy Sport, has a new look. This tricycle is ideal for sports-minded people who also love comfort. The tricycle for adults has got a cooler look with new modern colors and a handy luggage plateau.
Tim Hofman, host of "Je zal het maar hebben", a Dutch TV show whose translation literally means, "You would have it", takes a look into the lives of young people who have an illness or disability. In one of the episodes he visited Pieter Van Diepen (32 years old) who has had a brain haemorrhage. Because of the brain haemorrhage, Pieter has some disabilities, but he enjoys life and the things he can still do, such as cycling on the Van Raam tricycle Easy Sport.
