Mrs. Van Lieshout is 63 years old and experiences difficulty walking and difficulty with balance. Because cycling on a regular bicycle was becoming more and more difficult to her, she purchased one of Van Raam’s electric tricycles: the Easy Rider 2. We received the following message about her first experience with the Easy Rider tricycle. She wanted her positive experience to be shared with potential Easy Rider users.

As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
If you have experience with cycling on a normal bicycle, you should take into account that a tricycle cycles totally different. Small children or adults who have never ridden a tricycle before simply ride it. Adults have to get used to a completely different cycling behaviour. On the vanRaam website, we have listed the specific characteristics of each three-wheeler model. We advise you to find out for yourself which model you like best. If you want to try out a bike or if you have already bought a tricycle, we advise you to follow the instructions below.

Egbert-Jan Ruijs from Barchem (the Netherlands) shared the story of how he went bicycling, suddenly blacked out and fell on from his bike, with the Telegraaf (Dutch newspaper). After extensive examination Mr. Ruijs turned out to have a tumor in his brain.
