Scouters, an independent, online platform in the Netherlands that provides people with a physical disability with information/advice and innovative, assistive devices, tested the Easy Rider 2 tricycle. Mrs. Van Lieshout is 63 years old and experiences difficulty walking and difficulty with balance. Because cycling on a regular bicycle was becoming more and more difficult to her, she purchased one of Van Raam’s electric tricycles: the Easy Rider 2. We received the following message about her first experience with the Easy Rider tricycle. She wanted her positive experience to be shared with potential Easy Rider users.

An expert, independent commission in Norway has tested different types of special needs bicycles in connection with a multi-year public procurement. Several aspects were important for this tender. These were rated with a specific weighting coefficient. One of the categories focused on the sitting tricycles.The sitting tricycles were evaluated on: Price, quality of the frame and the parts, quality and reliability of the motor and charger, the ability to customise the bike to suit individual needs, the bike's accessories, ease of use, reliability and overall impression. Of course the design of the bicycles was also an important factor.

As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
Van Raam has plenty of choice when it comes to tricycles for people of all ages. For children, we have the Midi tricycle. For elderly or people who no longer have the strength to pedal, Van Raam manufactures the Easy Go miniscooter/tricycle, on which you can bike (with and without electric pedal support) or drive around like on a miniscooter. Van Raam in Varsseveld designs and manufactures a wide range of tricycles.
If it's not possible to ride a standard two-wheeled bike due to stability problems or other limitations, a three-wheeled bike is a good solution. Due to illness or aging, you may come to the stage where cycling with a standard bicycle is not (or no longer) possible or is no longer safe. The risk of falling is too big and getting on and off the bike is no longer possible, so participating in traffic is no longer safe for you and your fellow road users.
As you get older, your sense of balance may deteriorate, you may have less strength and you may be afraid of falling when cycling on a regular bike with two wheels.
