For anyone who has often visited our social media already saw one of more pictures of Diederik Wierenga. Diederik has traveled many thousands of miles on the Easy Rider tricycle with pedal assistance.
As a manufacturer of special needs bikes we make special bikes for everybody who is not able to ride a regular two-wheel bike (anymore). So we make bicycles for example for people who need more stability while cycling or for childeren and adults with a disability or disease that makes cycling on a two-wheel bike impossible.
Van Raam has plenty of choice when it comes to tricycles for people of all ages. For children, we have the Midi tricycle. For elderly or people who no longer have the strength to pedal, Van Raam manufactures the Easy Go miniscooter/tricycle, on which you can bike (with and without electric pedal support) or drive around like on a miniscooter. Van Raam in Varsseveld designs and manufactures a wide range of tricycles.
If it's not possible to ride a standard two-wheeled bike due to stability problems or other limitations, a three-wheeled bike is a good solution. Due to illness or aging, you may come to the stage where cycling with a standard bicycle is not (or no longer) possible or is no longer safe. The risk of falling is too big and getting on and off the bike is no longer possible, so participating in traffic is no longer safe for you and your fellow road users.
As you get older, your sense of balance may deteriorate, you may have less strength and you may be afraid of falling when cycling on a regular bike with two wheels. Fortunately, more and more seniors are discovering the solution to staying mobile and opting for an electric tricycle for seniors with pedal support. The sporty recumbent tricycle, Easy Sport, has a new look. This tricycle is ideal for sports-minded people who also love comfort. The tricycle for adults has got a cooler look with new modern colors and a handy luggage plateau.
Mrs. Zock from Germany sent us an email with her special needs bike, the Easy Rider Junior from Van Raam, with splitt frame and electric pedal support, in the lead role. For five years she enjoys riding her tricycle, with which she has cycled 2500 km. Please note: the name Easy Rider Junior has been changed to Easy Rider Small since 2023.
Van Raam boasts a wide range in tricycle choices for all ages. Our collection begins with the tricycles suitable for children. For seniors or persons with limited physical abilities, Van Raam has the Easy Go scooter trike. Enjoy additional ease with its incorporated bike and electronic bike functions as well as the electric drive function. Numerous other models and tricycle types are also available, all of which are designed and manufactured by Van Raam in Varsseveld, The Netherlands.
If you have experience with cycling on a normal bicycle, you should take into account that a tricycle cycles totally different. Small children or adults who have never ridden a tricycle before simply ride it. Adults have to get used to a completely different cycling behaviour.
