Van Raam produces uniquely special needs bicycles and specializes in tricycles, transport bikes, scooterbikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and low step trough bikes (also known as comfortbikes). Each model is also available as an electric bike (Pedelec).

We produce high quality Dutch special needs bikes for adults and children. To prove that we suffice different quality requirements we are ISO 9001:2015 certified. ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management.
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an international organization that sets standards. The organization is a partnership of national standards institutes of 164 countries. ISO 9001:2015 is a standard that sets requirements for the quality management system of an organization.

The certification body DNV GL - Business Assurance noted during the audit that we meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standard, so Van Raam is officially ISO 9001: 2015 certified.
The certificate indicates for us as a company and for all our dealers and customers that we do quality (care, control and assurance) on a predefined and structured way.
Trade association Firevaned, the trade association for rehabilitation- and mobility aids, has taken the initiative to set up an independent label. In 2014, the National certification mark (In Dutch: Nationaal Keurmerk Hulpmiddelen (NKH)) launched in the Netherlands.
Our German partner Utopia Velo, manufacturer of high-quality bicycles, has come out as winner in the Extra Energy test 2018 - 2019 with our Silent system pedal support. The company has won 3 of the 13 categories.
The Norwegian Government has had a professional, independent commission test a number of custom-made bicycles in four different bicycle categories in order to determine which bicycles are best and which customized bicycles may be sold in Norway. For this so-called tender procedure, there were a number of important points that were assessed with a certain weighting factor.
