The battery of the Easy Rider Compact is placed perpendicular to the bike, unlike other bikes from Van Raam. Read in this article how to attach and remove the battery on the bike.

Attaching the battery to the Easy Rider Compact

The carriage on which the battery needs to be attached is located perpendicular to the bike, between the two rear wheels. The carriage is therefore designed so that the battery only needs to be partially slid onto the controller. When inserting the battery, use a little force so that the battery fits securely on the connector.

  1. Hold the battery securely with both hands (if possible).

  2. Place the battery on the carriage and slide it to the left until the battery is secured.

  3. Take the key from the battery and turn it half a turn.

Removing the battery from the Easy Rider Compact

In order to remove the battery from the bike, the pedal assistance system must first be turned off. After this, unlock the battery with the key and slide it a little to the right on the carriage. Then lift the battery up.

Battery removal step by step:

  1. Unlock the battery by turning it open with the key.

  2. Then press the lock.

  3. Push the battery a little bit to the right.

  4. Then lift the battery up (with both hands if possible).
