The walking bike: a big step
"As a relatively young woman (44 years old), it is quite a step to start using a walking bike. Still, I was tired of not being able to join walks, or feeling miserable when shopping or visiting museums.
The walking bike City did take some getting used to (step 1: a softer saddle!) and it takes some time to find the right adjustment. Besides, it asks quite something of your abdominal muscles, so it is also building up."
Being able to do anything again
"But I am able to do all sorts of things again! Walking at home or when on holiday, shopping with the family, walking around the block on a nice summer evening. I have applied 'disabled person’s vehicle' stickers myself, because the average security guard in shops or museums does not see that it is not an ordinary folding bike."
