At the Libelle Summer Week, Adrie and her sister walked past the vanRaam stand. They entered the competition for the chance to try out a bicycle of their choice for a week – you never know! To their great surprise, they were called shortly afterwards with the fantastic news: they had won! Adrie shares their experience with the Fun2Go side-by-side tandem.

A visit to the Libelle Summer Week

“We are absolutely delighted and surprised to have won vanRaam’s fantastic prize competition! During the Libelle Summer Week, I entered the competition to win a bicycle of my choice for a week. I was there with my sister, whose daughter Esther has a disability. They already have a vanRaam wheelchair bicycle, but the disadvantage is that the companion sits behind Esther and therefore cannot see properly how she reacts to everything that happens along the way. My sister had been saying for some time that a Fun2Go side-by-side tandem was really her dream.

“You never know…”

I said jokingly: “Just enter, you never know.” “I never win anything,” she said. Even so, I filled in the form and wrote that I would love to go cycling with my niece Esther. And then the unbelievable happened: we won the vanRaam Fun2Go side-by-side tandem for an entire week!

Special bike rides

We were able to use the Fun2Go side-by-side tandem for a week, and it is absolutely wonderful. Both I and Esther’s parents have enjoyed many beautiful miles on it. It is fantastic to sit next to Esther, talk together and see her enjoying everything around her. That makes every bike ride extra special.

Everything has been considered

The Fun2Go side-by-side tandem is also equipped with every convenience. The electric assistance makes cycling wonderfully easy, the passenger can choose whether or not to pedal, and the dual battery provides an extensive range. The swivelling seat makes getting on easy, the foot trays provide extra comfort and safety, and as a useful extra, the bicycle can also be ridden backwards, making parking surprisingly straightforward.

Freedom on three wheels

This bicycle has not only brought us so much joy, but has also shown us how much freedom and how many possibilities a Fun2Go side-by-side tandem offers. We are thoroughly enjoying every ride. In fact, our family is now looking into whether they can purchase a Fun2Go themselves!
