Customer experience Easy Go Mobility scooter bike – Hannie Hoogenboom
When Hannie had a fall with her electric two-wheel bike, she no longer dared to cycle. Her daughter said: 'We'll go to Van Raam'. After this, Hannie bought an Easy Go mobility scooter bike and cycles every day again!
From a Spartamet to an Easy Go mobility scooter bike
"My name is Hannie, I am 90 years old and still live independently in a flat with beautiful green surroundings. My hobby is going outside, i.e. cycling.
I had a petrol-powered Spartamet a long time ago and then cycled on an electric two-wheel bike. Until this bike became too heavy. I fell over once with the electric bike and couldn't lift the bike. I then went to Van Raam with my daughter and made a test ride.
I found the test ride quite scary. But the advisor said: 'You can do that' and he was right. I just had to get used to it."
I like the bike very much. I can't miss it.
Not having to stay inside all day
"In the beginning, I cycled as much as 40 kilometres. But because I broke my hip and arm, I now ride laps around the neighbourhood of about 7 kilometres.
I cycle almost every day just to be outside or to go to shops, restaurants and the dentist. The seat of the mobility scooter bike is comfortable. I don't have to get off at intersections and stay seated to look at beautiful gardens. On my 90th birthday, I cycled with my children and grandchildren to the restaurant for the party.
After breaking my hip, I was able to cycle again after only three weeks, even though I couldn't walk then. I really like the Easy Go mobility scooter bike. I can't miss it. Van Raam has extended my life, I don't have to stay inside all day!”
