Since 2022, Maria (76) has been riding a vanRaam Balance. Getting on and off her standard e-bike had become difficult. With the Balance, she is cycling every day again: both for pleasure and to do her shopping.
Cycling every day
“My name is Maria and I am 76 years old. Because of muscular rheumatism, I purchased the Balance low step through bike in 2022. Getting on and off my standard e-bike had become difficult. I use the bicycle every day for pleasure and, for example, to do my shopping. I cycle an average of 20–40 kilometres a week, depending on the weather, of course.
The low step-through frame is a major advantage for me. I also like being able to remain seated at traffic lights. If I suddenly need extra power to set off, the pedal assistance helps me get going. In my opinion, that start-assistance function is a stroke of genius! I am less satisfied with the kickstand; sometimes you have to pay close attention to where you position it.
I bought my Balance low step through bike from Bike Totaal Bleumink in Vorden. The bicycle was then delivered to the local cycle shop in my hometown of Lochem. Everything went smoothly.
The bicycle does exactly what I expect it to. I regularly receive comments and questions from people who see my Balance. I am always happy to tell them how I am getting on with the bicycle. All in all, I give my bicycle a very good 8+!”
