Van Raam has once again donated a decent amount of money to the Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation. This beautiful donation consists of the voluntary contribution Van Raam charges for guided tours through the Van Raam factory.
On 22 February 2021, Van Raam handed over the cheque to the Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation. The Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation is committed to sporting events and outings for children in the Achterhoek region (a region in the Gelderland province in the Netherlands) for whom sport and playing is not a given. The management of Van Raam, Jan-Willem Boezel, Marjolein Boezel and Ronald Ruesink, handed over the cheque to Adri Knoops (board member) and Diana Ottevanger (project committee) in front of the Van Raam premises. Adri and Diana received the cheque on behalf of the Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation.
The money that was raised is the voluntary contribution that visitors pay during a guided tour at Van Raam. This amount was collected by Van Raam from the end of 2019. Thanks to the coronavirus, the guided tours were very limited, but still the beautiful sum of €1,581.10 was raised.
The donation comes at the right time. In March 2021 the foundation is organising a Kanjers drive-in. During this event, called 'You play the lead', children can drive past various booths together with their parents and receive various gifts. In November 2019, Van Raam also made a donation to the Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation. The value of the cheque was the highest ever donated to the foundation, which was a record amount of €11,914.30.
This amount consisted of donations made during the festive opening of Van Raam. Van Raam had the gift tip to make a donation to the foundation instead of a gift for Van Raam.
The Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation supports various projects for the well-being of children, particularly in the area of sport and play. By organising sporting events and outings, Kanjers voor Kanjers makes children's dreams come true. They do this for children in Oost-Gelderland (in the Achterhoek region, in the Netherlands) for whom sport and play are not self-evident.
For its income, the foundation depends entirely on contributions from individuals and companies. With every donation, the foundation is happy and the dreams of children can come true.
Van Raam and the Kanjers voor Kanjers foundation have already worked together on various projects. Many children have been happy with a Van Raam bicycle, such as a tricycle, wheelchair bike or tandem.
Van Raam donated a cheque to the Kanjers voor Kanjers Foundation. The record amount of money consisted of gifts that during the opening of the new Van Raam bicycle factory have been donated to the Foundation Kanjers voor Kanjers.
Ronald Ruesink, commercial director of Van Raam and avid Feyenoord supporter, introduced Fietsmaatjes to the Feyenoord Business Club (FBC). Together with Rob Kent (chairman Fietsmaatjes Schiedam) he tells his story in the magazine of the FBC.
Van Raam is Ambassador van Bergh in het Zadel for the Cancerfoundation​. The main goal of the Bergh in het Zadel Foundation is to raise money for the battle against cancer. In the special anniversary edition of the Ambassador Magazine Ronald Ruesink, commercial director of Van Raam, tells more about Van Raam in an interview.
Le jeudi 28 novembre 2019, le roi Willem-Alexander des Pays-Bas a rendu visite à la fondation 'Fietsmaatjes' à Warmond, aux Pays-Bas. Lors de cette visite surprise, le roi a rencontré les bénévoles et les invités de Fietsmaatjes et a fait un tour sur un tandem côte-à -côte Fun2Go de Van Raam.
