User experience OPair wheelchair bike – Chris Freriks

Chris (6) cannot cycle on his own. In order to go out in the open air with the family and to take Chris to day care and friends, to spend the night, mom Wendy purchased an OPair wheelchair bike from Van Raam. In this user experience, Wendy tells us more about Chris and their experiences with the OPair bike.

Purchasing Van Raam OPair wheelchair bike

Wendy: "We've never had a special needs bike before. Through Medipoint, a Van Raam dealer, we came into contact with Van Raam. Medipoint advised us to try out the OPair wheelchair bike and helped us with a fitting. We didn't make a test ride at Van Raam, but at the day care of my son, they had an OPair as well, so we made a test ride on that bike. We liked it so much that we submitted a request, and after 3 months we got the bike delivered. The contact with the dealer and Van Raam went well, as did the overall service around the bike."

"We've had the bike for a couple of months now and we like it very much. The bike is stable and fits through a normal gate. When it comes to the surroundings, we mainly cycle on asphalted roads, but also on paths that need a lot of maintenance (on our way to the day care), but I don't experience any problems with that. When our little man sits in the bike, his hands go up in the air after a few minutes. And during a bike ride, his legs also go up in the air every now and then, because of pure enjoyment. The sounds he makes don't lie!"
