Customer experience Easy Rider tricycle – Paul Slijkerman

Paul lived in Australia for eighteen years. He has been living in the Netherlands again since 2022. As a tractor and forklift driver, he is used to large vehicles, but he consciously chooses to cycle for his daily journeys. He does not own a car. Nor does he need one.
Borrowed for a day, cycling for life
How did Paul come to choose the Easy Rider tricycle? Almost by chance. His usual bicycle had to go to the bike shop, so he was given a vanRaam bicycle as a loan bike for one day. ‘I enjoyed cycling it so much that I immediately hired the Easy Rider for a week.’ That week was enough to convince him. The bike was so comfortable to ride that he soon wanted one of his own. He then decided to buy one, and it was the best decision.
From Schoorl to Heiloo, four days in a row
Paul uses the Easy Rider every day, and that is no exaggeration. In less than two years, he has already cycled more than 12,000 kilometres. Four days a week, he rides from Schoorl to Heiloo, and three days from Schoorl to Alkmaar. The bicycle is his only means of transport, and he is extremely happy with it.
Equipped with platform pedals
For his Easy Rider, Paul chose platform pedals instead of standard pedals. ‘It is even more comfortable to cycle with them than with standard pedals,’ he says. It may sound like a small adjustment, but it makes a big difference to Paul’s everyday riding comfort. It is precisely these kinds of personal choices that make the Easy Rider tricycle so comfortable: the bicycle adapts to you, not the other way round.

‘It is just really comfortable to ride.’
Ask Paul what he thinks of the Easy Rider and his answer is immediate and unequivocal: ‘It is genuinely so comfortable to ride. It meets all my needs.’ On a scale of 1 to 10, he gives it a solid 10. ‘The Easy Rider is truly fantastic.’
