Customer experience Maxi adult tricycle - Petronella Beerman
Petronella Beerman is an active woman who regularly cycles long distances. Until she suffers 3 strokes in a short period of time and was left with paralyzed finers a double vision. She developed fear of cycling and began to sway on the bike. This could not go on any longer. Then she saw her neighbor's tricycle and from that moment on a new world opened up for Petronella.
3 times a stroke
"My name is Petronella Beerman, or Nelleke. I am 76 years old, live in Amstelveen Westwijk and have many hobbies that ensure that I'm not bored for a minute. I had a 'normal' bike, with which I cycled several (foreign) routes. For example, to my daughter in Vienna. But after suffering 3 strokes, 2 within 2 months, I was left with paralyzed fingers and double vision for half a year. When at last I was able to cycle again, I turned out to be afraid at every crossroad. Then I had to get off the bike, get on again and I started swaying because of my anxiety. At some point I saw my neighbor's adult tricycle bike and looked at the frame where I saw 'Van Raam'. I saw the tricycle and thought: that's it! So I took a look at the website of Van Raam and searched for tips and read customer experiences. Then I contacted the Social Support Act and a Van Raam dealer and ordered the Maxi tricycle for adults."
For me, cycling is even more enjoyable than walking now. I'm very satisfied. I never want to live without the Maxi adult tricycle anymore.

"I ordered a Maxi adult tricycle bike with gears, reverse pedal function and pedal assistance. It did take a little while before I had the bike, but I'm extremely happy with it! I've had the Maxi for 2 months now and I use it to get around more easily. When the weather is nice I often take the bike. How much time I spend on the road? That varies. Sometimes shorter distances and sometimes longer distances. I've even heard "I want that bike too!" a few times.
The most positive thing I find is the pedal assistance. It's so handy to be able to cycle backwards. And also that you can put a crate or basket on the back. And I don't feel any pain when I'm cycling. For me, cycling is even more enjoyable than walking now. I'm very satisfied. I never want to live without the Maxi adult tricycle anymore. I give this bike a 10 out of 10!"
