With the new BiSSA® suspension system, vanRaam is taking the next step in comfort. You’ll notice it immediately as soon as you start cycling. Small bumps in the road, such as cobblestones or speed bumps, are absorbed more gently. This feels smoother on your body and gives you more confidence whilst cycling.
Instead of a traditional oil-based system, BiSSA works differently. The system is designed to eliminate friction. As a result, the suspension responds faster and more smoothly. You don’t have to do anything yourself, but you’ll definitely feel the difference.
Less vibration, more comfort
When cycling, you often encounter minor vibrations – think of a bumpy road or a kerb. The BiSSA system absorbs these vibrations instantly, ensuring a quieter and more comfortable ride.
This is thanks to the use of Cellasto, a material widely used in the automotive industry. This material helps to reduce vibrations and protect components from dirt and wear. This ensures the bike remains a pleasure to ride, even in the long term.
What is BiSSA?
The BiSSA suspension system (Bi-Spring Shock Absorber) is a patented innovation from vanRaam that delivers a remarkably smooth riding experience. Instead of traditional, oil-filled shock absorbers, BiSSA operates completely friction-free. That means: no internal friction, no leaks and virtually no maintenance.
