First official workweek in new Van Raam premises is a fact

The last weeks few weeks were all about Christmas, New Year’s Eve and the beginning of 2019. Despite this, our employees were also finishing the new Van Raam factory. Meanwhile, the first official working week after the holidays is almost over and we look back on a week of finishing things up but also starting new things. In this article we look back on the period of the Christmas holidays and we give you the most recent updates and photos of our new business premises.

What is the difference between a tricycle and a bike with side wheels?

When you aren’t able or don't dare to cycle on a standard bike with two wheels due to balance problems or the fear of falling, there are several options to ensure that you keep your mobility and get enough physical activity. For example, there is the possibility to place side wheels for adults on your two-wheel bike or you can check the possibilities of adaptive bikes (of course we would like to help you). In this article we explain briefly what the differences are between a tricycle and adult side wheels.

Moving the 3D laser machine to the new Van Raam factory

In our factory where we produce adaptive bicycles, we use a lot of modern machines. Many different steel pipes arrive in our production department, after which they are processed and eventually shaped into bicycle frames. Various machines are used to process the many pipes and a welding robot connects all parts together. It is quite a job to move all these machines to our new premises. That is why the large 3D laser machine has already been brought to the new Van Raam factory.

30 companies from Gelderland have signed up for a tender for the Gelderland Factory of the Future. The 7 Gelderland companies that receive € 200,000 from the province of Gelderland were announced. One of the winners is Van Raam with the new bicycle factory.

With a custom trailer or roof-top carrier for special needs bicycles, mounted on your car, you can take your bike with you. At Van Raam we do not have trailers or roof-top carriers in our assortment. New Van Raam E-Bike app

From 1-11-2018 a new Van Raam E-Bike app is available. The Van Raam E-Bike (bicycle) app is a free smartphone app that you can use while cycling on your electric Van Raam bike. This app can be used as a luxurious bike computer for all Van Raam bicycles with pedal assistance. Furthermore, the app includes other additional features such as an SOS function and a function which allows you to adjust the pedal assistance while cycling.
